Dates: Tuesdays, February 3, 10, 17, and 24
Time: 3:45–5:00 PM
Location: Solebury House of Movement & Art (SHoMA)
Cost: $150 (4-week series)
This playful, movement-based class introduces kids to classic improv and theater games that build confidence, focus, collaboration, and creative presence.
Each week, students warm up with group games that encourage listening, eye contact, and ensemble awareness, then move into short-form improv activities that explore character, relationships, and storytelling. There are no scripts to memorize and no pressure to perform. The emphasis is on being present, supporting others, and making strong choices in the moment.
Through games that involve movement, imagination, and quick thinking, kids learn how to:
Listen and respond in real time
Work as part of a group
Take creative risks without fear of being “wrong”
Use body language, voice, and imagination to tell stories
This class is a great fit for kids who love storytelling, comedy, movement, or drama — and also for kids who are shy or hesitant and want a low-pressure, encouraging environment to build confidence and social ease.
No prior theater or improv experience is necessary.
The focus is on play, process, and connection, not performance.
What to bring: Comfortable clothes to move in and a water bottle
Class size is limited to keep the experience focused and supportive.
