Granny Squares, Part II is a January crochet class designed for both returning students and beginners who are curious to learn. We’ll review foundational stitches before moving into more advanced techniques, allowing everyone to settle in and work at their own pace.
Students will build confidence with yarn handling, stitch consistency, and color changes while creating classic granny squares. Over the four weeks, we’ll begin assembling our squares into a small finished project, such as a tea cozy or a small blanket, depending on each student’s pace and interest.
The emphasis is on patience, rhythm, and the quiet satisfaction of working stitch by stitch in a calm, supportive environment.
What we’ll work on:
• Basic crochet stitches and stitch review
• Building granny squares step by step
• Color changes and simple pattern variations
• Assembling squares into a tea cozy or small blanket
What’s included:
• Yarn and crochet hooks
• Guided instruction
• Herbal tea and nut-free snacks
What to bring:
• Nothing — just curiosity and cozy after-school energy
Class size is limited to keep the experience hands-on and welcoming.
