Ages 8–12 | 3-Week Series | $95

Step into the tiny world of fairy-house building! Over three afternoons, artists will work collaboratively to design and construct one shared fairy house using a mix of natural and art-making materials such as wood, bark, moss, stones, twigs, dried flowers, clay, paint, fabric, and miniature embellishments.

This class is all about collaboration, creative problem-solving, and making something together. Each artist will bring their own ideas to the project, and the group will consider everyone’s suggestions as they decide what the fairy house should look like and which details it should include. Artists will practice sharing ideas, building on one another’s creativity, compromising when needed, and seeing how individual contributions can become part of one larger work.

Over the course of the three sessions, the group’s ideas will evolve into one finished fairy house that will become part of the SHoMA landscape, where it will live beneath a tree near the studio for artists, families, and passing fairies to discover.
