END-OF-THE-SCHOOL-YEAR-IMPROV!!!

  • Kristina Gibb Photography New Hope, PA (map)

This short-form intensive is a fast, fun introduction to improv and theater games for kids who are ready to get out of their heads and into the room. Over three sessions, students will play their way through the core building blocks of improv—listening, reacting, committing to a choice, and making their scene partner look good.

Some experience with theater or improv is welcome, but this is not an audition and there's no wrong way to play. If you're willing to show up and say yes, you're ready.

What We'll Play With

  • Warm-up games that build focus and presence

  • Scene starters and character work

  • The "Yes, And" principle in action

  • Ensemble games that require real listening and quick thinking

  • The difference between trying to be funny and just being honest—which, it turns out, is funnier
